About
The hot springs directory built for actual trip planning
Hot Springs Atlas is the third iteration of our programmatic directory playbook. After UPick Atlas and Waterfall Atlas proved the stack (Next.js 15, Tailwind v4, ShadCN UI, static export), we rebuilt the template with hot springs-specific data: temperature ranges, cost tiers, dog/kid policy, safety warnings, and verified sources for every pool.
What’s live today
- 75+ hot spring pages with TouristAttraction + Place + FAQ JSON-LD (LocalBusiness for resorts).
- 50 state hubs, type hubs, best-of listicles, free/wild filters, resort directories, and learn articles.
- Coordinates verified via USGS + Nominatim, cost notes, amenity breakdowns, clothing-optional and dog/kid policy flags.
- Umami analytics wired (self-hosted) and static export ready for Cloudflare Pages.
What’s next
- Expand to 150+ springs, prioritizing underrepresented states east of the Rockies.
- Launch user submission flow for conditions, bacteria notices, and pool maintenance alerts.
- Add Booking.com / independent lodging partners to resort pages.
- Publish quarterly bacteria/safety roundups per state Department of Health feed.
