Armour's Hotel & Spa - Day-use fee or pay-per-soak in Red Boiling Springs, TN (2026)
One of the last surviving mineral resorts on Tennessee’s Macon County springs circuit, featuring southern meals and wraparound porches.

Armour's Hotel & Spa is the historic mineral-water property at the center of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee — a tiny mid-state town that briefly rivaled Hot Springs, Arkansas as a 19th-century health-spa destination before quietly settling into preservation. The Victorian hotel still operates, and its mineral-bath spa is the only commercial soak left from the four 'flavors' (red, white, black, and double-and-twist) that historically came up from local wells. Day-spa walk-ins are welcome alongside overnight guests.
What to expect
Reserve a treatment slot ahead — the spa is small. Mineral baths run alongside steam, massage, and traditional spa services in a building that feels closer to a country bed-and-breakfast than a resort. The wraparound porch and small downtown (a handful of antique shops and a Saturday-night bluegrass venue) are the rest of the experience.
