Hobo Hot Springs is the free, 24-hour town soaking pool in Saratoga, Wyoming — a small concrete pool plus river-edge soaking spots on the North Platte River, in the heart of downtown. The town of Saratoga has run it as a free public amenity since the 1880s; a small donation jar funds upkeep. The water runs 100-112°F at the source, mixed with North Platte flow for adjustable temperature. It's one of the few free, no-permit, no-fee hot soaks in any U.S. town center, and it's the reason Saratoga has a small but loyal road-trip following.

What to expect

Park downtown, walk to the riverside pool and changing room (open 24/7), strip to a swimsuit, and soak. The concrete pool sits next to the river and overflow channels mix into riverbed soaking spots. No staff, no fees, no time limits. Glass and alcohol are strictly banned and police enforce. The town itself has a few cafés, the Saratoga Hot Springs Resort (paid private soaks), and the Hotel Wolf for an actual sit-down dinner.
