Harbin Hot Springs - Day-use fee or pay-per-soak in Middletown, CA (2026)
Rebuilt after the Valley Fire, this iconic retreat blends meditation decks, yoga domes, and terraced soaking pools fed by 114°F mineral water. Silent soaking zones keep the focus on rest and hydrotherapy.

Harbin Hot Springs is a clothing-optional, adults-only, retreat-style hot-springs property in Lake County, California — about 2 hours north of San Francisco — that operated continuously from 1972 until the 2015 Valley Fire destroyed nearly every building. The current operation, rebuilt 2019-2024, restored the iconic main pool deck, the silent meditation pool, and most of the cabin lodging. The water is unusually hot (114°F at the warm pool, with cold-plunge contrast pools nearby) and the property's culture — silence-policy decks, no electronics, deeply contemplative — is a strict throwback to its 1970s consciousness-movement origins.
