Homestead Crater - Day-use fee or pay-per-soak in Midway, UT (2026)
A 55-foot limestone dome encloses this scuba-divable spring at Homestead Resort, offering mineral-rich water and unique acoustics.

The Homestead Crater is a 55-foot beehive-shaped limestone dome enclosing a 65-foot-deep mineral pool in Midway, Utah — the only warm-water scuba-diving site in the continental U.S. Inside the dome, the water sits at a constant 90-96°F year-round, with a small skylight at the top of the crater letting daylight filter through to the bottom. The Homestead Resort owns and operates the crater as a snorkeling, scuba, paddleboard-yoga, and soaking attraction, all in 40-minute reserved slots. It's about 50 minutes from Salt Lake City and pairs naturally with Heber Valley or Sundance trips.
What to expect
Reserve a 40-minute slot online (snorkel/soak $22, paddleboard yoga or scuba sessions $36+). Arrive 15 minutes early — late arrivals lose their slot. Walk through a tunnel into the base of the crater. Inside: a wooden deck and a single pool. Scuba divers must be certified or take an intro course. Snorkel and soak slots are family-friendly (over 5 only). The acoustics inside the dome are unique — sound carries strangely.
