Mystic Hot Springs in Monroe, Utah is the photographed-on-Instagram Sevier Valley oddball — a series of vintage cast-iron clawfoot tubs perched on travertine ledges that have grown around them for decades, fed by a single 168°F mineral source. The travertine deposits have built up so much over the years that some tubs sit completely embedded in calcified mineral rock, with only the rim visible. The property also rents converted vintage school buses, retro Airstreams, and small cabins as overnight lodging. It's a rural Utah curiosity, a 5-minute walk from the parking area, and one of the most distinct soaking visuals in the Mountain West.

What to expect

Day soak ($25, reservation required) for a 90-minute window in one of the clawfoot tubs or one of the larger terraced pools at the bottom of the cascade. Overnight stays in the converted buses ($120+) include unlimited soaking after day-trippers leave. The tubs are individual — most hold 1-2 people, a few hold 4. The travertine paths are slick when wet; bring water shoes. Quiet hours after 10 PM. No alcohol or glass.
