Saratoga Hot Springs (Inlet Park) - Free soaking · donation encouraged in Saratoga Springs, UT (2026)
Accessible boardwalks and soft-bottom pools on Utah Lake’s northwest shore make this the most family-friendly natural soak along the Wasatch Front.

Saratoga Hot Springs at Inlet Park is the city-managed primitive soak on the northwest shore of Utah Lake in Saratoga Springs, Utah — about 30 minutes south of Salt Lake City. Three soft-bottom pools fed by hot vents emerging from the Wasatch Front fault sit just behind the main lake shoreline, accessible by ADA boardwalks. It's free, family-friendly during posted park hours, and one of the only natural hot soaks within commuting distance of the Salt Lake metro. The lake-shore setting and views of the Lake Mountains make it scenic, but Utah Lake's water quality and the close proximity to suburban Saratoga Springs make it less wild than most western primitive soaks.
What to expect
Drive into Inlet Park from Saratoga Springs via Pioneer Crossing, park in the city lot (which gates at sunset). Walk the short boardwalk to the pools. Three pools at varying temperatures (95-109°F), soft mud-and-sand bottom, swimsuit-required and enforced. No facilities at the pools themselves; restrooms in the parking area. The lake itself is right there but Utah Lake water quality is poor in summer — don't swim in the lake, soak only in the spring pools.
